第21回ATEM西日本支部大会
研究発表募集要項
2024年9月21日（土）に対面で「第2１回ATEM西日本支部大会」を京都先端科学大学太秦キャンパスにて開催します。
1. 募集分野
ATEM西日本支部は、本大会での研究発表を募集します。本学会の趣旨に鑑み、英語教育、言語学、文学、文化研究、メディア研究、異文化コミュニケーション研究などの多様な専門分野から、映画や映像メディアの英語教育への活用を視野に入れた研究発表を募集します。
2. 応募要項
2.1 発表分野
研究発表：理論的、実証的な研究成果に関する発表を行う。
25分（発表20分＋質疑5分）。
実践報告：授業実践やプロジェクト実施に関する発表を行う。
25分（発表20分＋質疑5分）。
※著書の概要（説明）のみの場合は「研究発表」、「実践報告」のいずれにも該当しないものとします。
（出版社発表として著者が発表される場合については、事務局までお問い合わせください）。
2.2 応募資格
個人発表、共同発表共に、以下の（a）か（b）のいずれかに該当すること。
（a）ATEMの会員：2024年度までの会費を納入していること。（発表時に2024年年度の会費を納入していない場合は、研究発表費2,500円を支払うこと）
（b）非会員：研究発表費2,500円を支払うこと。
※プログラムに掲載する共同発表者すべてに適用します。学生の場合は無料となります。
3. 応募要領
以下の項目を記載し、eメールにてご応募ください。なお、締切り後に選考を行い、申込者宛に事務局より採否の結果を8月中にeメールにて通知いたします。

（注）
発表タイトルは、漠然とした大きなタイトルではなく、映画や映像メディアを使って何をどう教えるのか、あるいは何がわかるのか等、発表の中身が見える具体的なものにしてください。
「発表タイトル」もしくは「発表概要」のいずれかに、対象となる映像メディアの種類（例：映画、TED、ニュースなど）や作品名・タイトル（例：Frozen, “To understand autism, don’t look away”など）を含めていただきますようお願いいたします（対象映画が複数ある場合は、代表的な映画を１つ選んで、「『タイタニック』などの用例を用いて・・・」などとしていただければ結構です）。

About Applications for the 2024 Nishinihon Chapter Conference
Dear ATEM Members：
The 21st ATEM Nishinihon Chapter Conference will be held in person at Kyoto University of Advanced Science, Uzumasa Campus on September 21st, 2024.
1. Research areas
ATEM Nishinihon Chapter calls for papers focusing on the practical use of movies or multimedia for English education, based on various research areas such as language education, linguistics, literature, cultural research, media study and cross-cultural communication study.
2. Submission requirements
2.1 Presentation types
(1) Research presentation on theoretical or empirical studies (25 minutes, including 5 minutes of Q and A)
(2) Practical report on classroom activities or implementation of projects (25 minutes, including 5 minutes of Q and A)
Note: Presentations about a book (presenter’s work) do not fall under (1) or (2). If you would like to make a presentation about your book as a representative of the publisher, please e-mail the ATEM Nishinihon Chapter Office (atemwestjp@gmail.com ).
2.2 Eligibility
To be eligible to present, the presenter (or in a group presentation, all of the presenters) must be either
(a) or (b) below (excluding students):
(a) An ATEM member who has paid the fiscal year 2024 (April 1st, 2024 March 31st, 2025) membership fee. (Those who have not paid the fiscal year 2024 membership fee as of September 21st will pay 2,500 yen as the presentation fee. )
(b) A non-member who will pay 2,500 yen as the presentation fee.
(If the presenter is a student, there is no presentation fee.)
3. Submitting a Proposal
When submitting a proposal, please provide the following information by an attached Word file to the ATEM Nishinihon Chapter Office (atemwestjp@gmail.com ). The submission period is from June 10th through August 10th, 2024. Notifications of accepted proposals will be sent via email in August.
